About The Event

A yoga practice grows through a continual steady practice.  By supplementing classes with your own home practice, you can make so much progress and learn so much.  Come learn ways to begin, maintain, and deepen your individual practice.

In this two part workshop, we will explore:

1.  What does it mean to have a home practice

2.  How to decide the focus or the starting point for your practice on a particular day

3.  Injury prevention tips when practicing on your own (ways to come out of backbends, ways to come out of deep knee flexion poses, etc)

4.  General sequencing tips

5.  Inspiration for maintaining your home practice

6.  Ways to be creative in your practice

7.  Suggestions for Svadhyaya or self study during your home practice

There will be plenty of time for questions and we will also give participants three 10-15 minute short sequences they can use to kickstart their home practice.

The second session will be a chance to consider how home practice has gone in the 2 weeks since the first session and to answer any questions that have come up.

The sessions will be videotaped and shared with all participants so will be available if you are unable to attend both sessions.
